Join me as I blog my way through Dr. Furhman’s Eat to Live plan! After completing the 6 week plan and losing over 21 pounds last year, I know this method works! I will be posting what I eat each and every day (or as close as I can get)! My ultimate goal is to provide a years worth of clean-eating, phytochemical-rich meal ideas while on my personal journey to reach my ideal weight! If you are currently on the plan we would love to hear from you–please comment and post pics below!

Lunch: (see first pic) butter lettuce, thinly sliced cucumbers, diced red peppers, 1/4th sliced Hass avocado, yellow raisins, clementine oranges and dressed with rice wine vinegar

Your dinner salad looks delicious! Curious, do you use balsamic vinegar straight as a dressing? If so, how much, 1 or 2 tbsp?
Did you lose weight on this? How much each time?
Were you particularly over weight to start with
Hi Aprille,
When I started I was at 230, 6 months after having my 2nd baby. I lost just over 21 pounds that first 6 weeks and my last day I was 209! Then I went on and off for the next almost 2 years–I never gained back any of the weight I lost but I’d lose some more by following the plan and then go off the plan and gain it back.
It wasn’t until I stopped treating it like a “diet” where there was a “beginning” and an “end” and started to convert it into my lifestyle, that my weight started to even out!
Right now I’m at 195 and being that I’m over six feet tall my Dr. Fuhrman recommended weight (with a BMI under 23) is 176.
I know I’ll get there because I’ve developed my prepping habit and I’ve made this my lifestyle!
Hope this helps!
xo, Kristen
