Join me as I blog my way through Dr. Furhman’s Eat to Live plan (again, yup I did this before and lost over 21 pounds)! My goal is to reach my ideal weight by doing the aggressive 6 week Eat to Live plan by Dr. Fuhrman until I reach that magic number! I will be posting what I eat each and every day (or as close as I can get) with pics! If you are currently on the plan we would love to hear from you–please comment and post pics below!
WHAT I ATE ON DAY 15:
Breakfast: Smoothie (see Day 11, breakfast) with frozen blueberries & bananas with almond milk and 1 tbsp. flaxseeds
Lunch: Oak lettuce wraps: sauteed firm tofu in low-sodium veggie stock, added finely chopped crimini mushrooms, finely chopped celery, garlic powder, minced onion and fresh green onions. Topped with shredded carrots, raw sesame seeds and more green onions. 1 tbsp. Siriacha sauce (note: this is a high-sodium condiment that is not Dr. Fuhrman-approved, but I don’t always abide by the no salt added rule).
Dinner: Mixed green salad with sliced gala apple, celery, grape tomatoes, raisins, red onion, and 1 ounce raw un-salted pistachios; dressed with Balsamic vinegar. Steamed broccoli with no-salt seasoning, 1 can Amy’s organic lentil soup with 1 Dr. Prager California Veggie burger (from Trader Joe’s) with about 1 tbsp. Siriacha sauce.
Dessert: Fresh pineapple (about 1/3rd of a large pineapple)
A word about salt, sometimes you need a little when your day is hard. Today I resented eating so much veggies and wanted to stray off the plan in the worst way. Giving myself that bit of flavor literally helped the medicine go down. Remember you are still nourishing your body and try to eat less salt the next day when things are easier!
