Day 12 What to eat on Dr Fuhrman Eat to Live Plan Nutritarian Day 12Join me as I blog my way through Dr. Furhman’s Eat to Live plan (again)!  My goal is to reach my ideal weight by doing the aggressive 6 week Eat to Live plan by Dr. Fuhrman until I reach that magic number!  I will be posting what I eat each and every day (or as close as I can get) with pics!  If you are currently on the plan we would love to hear from you–please comment and post pics below!


Breakfast: (see pic above) Apple slices with 1 tbsp. raisins and 1 1/2 tbsp. raw, un-salted, creamy almond butter

What to eat on the 6 week Nutritarian Eat to Live plan Dr FuhrmanDinner Salad (a.k.a. “The Main Course”): Mixed baby greens salad with yellow grape tomatoes, strawberries, dried onions; dressed with Balsamic vinegar.

Menu meal plan 6 week eat to live dr fuhrman plan eat to liveDinner (cooked dish): Quinoa with a can of red kidney beans, sauteed in low-sodium veggie broth, topped with homemade “salsa” of grape heirloom tomatoes, red onion and 1/4 th Hass avocado.

    I just started the diet (currently on day 2) and it was so nice to see that on day 3…you posted that you made something that actually TASTES GOOD! My first day was rough. I had a smoothie with spinach, a banana, unsweetened almond milk, chia seeds, and frozen strawberries and it was great. But lunch wasn’t yummy and neither was dinner. I am having to get used to no bread…which is tough, but also, no salt. Any advice on how to make things taste better?

      Hi Amanda!!

      So, excited that you started ETL!! Congrats on your 2nd day!! There’s no easy way around it–it takes time to retrain your taste buds. I promise you, if you stick to it 100% it will happen for you! If you think about it, you’ve had years of eating hyper-flavored foods that often have hidden salt and sugar there to make them taste better. But the way your body feels and operates on the appropriate level of salt is SO worth it!

      Hang in there! Fight every meal, every day! There are going to be times you just want to throw up in your mouth–it’s working!
