No bake Easter dessert tray yogurt covered pretzels egg shape trayMeet your new favorite Easter party planning hack–this ridiculously easy and perfectly pretty, no bake Easter dessert tray!

I found this festive plastic egg-shaped tray while browsing the Easter section at Target.

It inspired me to come up with a simple dessert idea for an Easter gathering–cause let’s face it, after the kids have been stuffing their faces with chocolate bunnies and jelly beans, is it really necessary to go through the trouble of baking a fancy Easter dessert?

I don’t think so!

Easy no bake easter dessert idea egg tray pretzels chocolate easy easter desserts You can find these pastel-hued yogurt-covered pretzels all over the place!  I picked up a bag of strawberry, key lime and lemon creme flavors from our local Sprouts market.  Sprout’s also has a blueberry flavor that’s a really lovely lavender color.

After my hubby and kids taste-tested for me (I’m still on the Eat to Live lifestyle), the unanimous favorite was strawberry–just in case you were curious!

I’ve also been seeing tons of recipes on Pinterest for chocolate-covered pretzels, so you could make a batch of your own if you were feeling like the extra effort.

But I say…

Just hit up the store–Easter is busy enough already!

No bake Easter dessert tray easy easter party ideasWhile you’re at the store, pick up a box of Annie’s chocolate bunnies (hello! They are miniature bunnies for gosh sake!) or graham crackers of your choice (if you’re inexplicably anti-bunny).

Use the graham crackers to fill in the yogurt-covered pretzel “stripes”  and fill in your tray.

This dessert tray is really beautiful and I especially love how the pretzels look like decorative swirls on the egg!

So, now you can get just as many “oohs” and “ahhs” from your guests for a lovely Easter dessert but with 1/3rd of the work!

Now, that sounds like a happy Easter to me 😉

EASY EASTER EGG DESSERT TRAY  by Kristen Hong

What You’ll Need:

  • Egg-shaped serving tray
  • Yogurt-covered pretzels (or different colored chocolate covered pretzels), I used 70 for my tray
  • Annie’s chocolate bunny grahams, 1 box

Directions:

Arrange your pretzels by alternating their placement up and down (see pics above) in stripes according to the tray’s colors.

Fill in the empty space between the pretzel stripes with chocolate bunnies.

Enjoy!
