These wooden eggs evoke the same sweet simplicity of traditional dyed eggs but without the waste!

With Easter approaching quickly, I am getting “in the mood” for Easter egg decorating.  The most unfortunate part of Easter is the fact that you have to throw away your artwork!  Sure I can give the hard boiled eggs to my doggie (so I don’t feel like I’m being super-wasteful), but I still feel like it’s such a shame to throw away such beautifully decorated eggs!

So, in the spirit of reusing and not being wasteful, I’m going to embark on making permanent Easter eggs for decorations!  I ordered a baker’s dozen of paper mache eggs from Hobby Lobby and I have a good supply of Martha Stewart acrylic paints ready to go!  I’m thinking pale hues, frosted with crystal glitter.

Stay tuned for the results!
